New Magnolia Homestead is a family farm and farm shop in Thaxton, VA, near Bedford, Lynchburg and Roanoke. We sell our own pork, quail, quail eggs, pickles, candles and tallow balms, with pickup at the farm shop. Our farm shop is at 1887 Buffalo Run, Thaxton, VA 24174. Meat does not ship; pick it up at the farm shop or the Saturday farmers market.

Reserve our farm pickles, pork, lamb, and quail. Pickles ship to Virginia addresses, or pick up at the farm shop or market. Live quail are pickup or delivery; see the listing. More about our farm pickles and Jumbo White Coturnix quail.

Pickles come in 8 oz ($10), 16 oz ($12), and 32 oz ($15) jars. Pork and lamb are reserved by email (pickup, no shipping): pork · Katahdin lamb.

Live Livestock

We raise AKKPS registered Kunekune pigs, AMBA registered Meishans (listed as Threatened by The Livestock Conservancy), and Katahdin hair sheep right here on our family homestead. These breeds are known for their calm temperaments and meat quality.

Whether you’re looking for breeding stock, feeders, or grow-outs, our animals are raised on grass, handled with care, and ready for homestead life.

Small-batch pantry goods from our kitchen: Nana's Cocoa, dried and candied orange slices, and holiday simmer pots.

Grow-Out Ownership Program

Own your pig, we raise it. Buy a Kunekune pig and we'll raise it here until harvest.

You own the animal from day one, we simply provide the feed, care, and updates.

When the season ends, you choose your own custom processor and receive the finished product directly from them.
